Bob was one of 8 children born to Edgar and Florence (Sloan) Bergstrom. Bob grew up near Rosholt and was educated in rural schools and attended and graduated from Rosholt High School. Bob served in the Army for two years...1950 to 1952 serving in Korea. He was awarded the Korean Service medal with a Bronze Campaign Star and United Nations Service medal. After his discharge from the service he began a long career with Ireland's Lumber Yard in Rosholt. Bob married Sylvia Marie Fischer June 25, 1955 and they had two children: Daniel Robert and Michelle Renee. There are 5 grandchildren surviving him also. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Wayne, Glendon and Roger. His brother, Eugene, and sisters Bonnie, Marcy, Diane and nieces and nephews survive him. | |
