“Mrs Laura Hansine Christiane Muller born 24/9/1808 in Copenhagen. Christened in the Kongelige Fødselsstiftelse, daughter of Louise Philipine de Conick born 25/12/1775 in Copenhagen died in Paris 1854, and King Frederick VI of Danmark and Norge. She was a daughter of at that time the richest man in Denmark – Etatsråd Fredrik de Conick – owned with other property the so called Mottke Palace where they lived which is now used by the Danish Foreign Office Department. His wife was Marie de Joncourt. Louise was later on (at the time) married to a French clergyman Jean Monod in Paris. The photograph is of Louise de Conick and our grandmother Laura Muller. Both were Ladies of Waiting to the Queen.” | |
