MRS. CHENAULT IS CALLED BY DEATH -
Beloved Woman Dies After Illness of Two Weeks -
Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Chenault, 54, widow of the late G.O. Chenault, died at 2:15 Monday afternoon at the residence, 720 W. Moulton Street, after a two weeks illness.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the residence by Father Cornelius Kennedy, of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at City Cemetery, Brown directing.
Surviving are two daughters, Misses Mary Louise and Martha Elizabeth Chenault, of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. W.L. Chenault, of Russellville and Miss Lucy Downing of Moulton.
The following will act as pallbearers: P.P. Gilchrist, John Patterson, L.E. Hearst, C.H. Eyster, Hudson Sandlin and Robert Henderson.
Mrs. Chenault was born in Lawrence County and removed to Decatur 21 years ago where she had made her home continuously since. She was widely known and greatly beloved throughout North Alabama where the family has long been prominently identified with civic, religious and all activities of a constructive nature. The passing of Mrs. Chenault while not unexpected, came as a profound shock to large circles of friends in Morgan and Lawrence Counties.
