HUNDREDS ATTEND CHENAULT BURIAL -
Prominent Barrister Laid To Rest Thursday In Family Plot -
Hundreds of people from all walks of life gathered at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon to attend the funeral of G.O. Chenault, which was conducted from his late residence at 712 West Moulton Street, by Dr. James Allen Smith, pastor of the Central Baptist Church.
Mr. Chenault's death, which occurred on Wednesday morning after a brief illness, came as a great shock to a host of friends throughout this and adjoining counties.
Members of the Morgan County bar association served as honorary pallbearers and the active pallbearers were the following; J.P. Matlock, T.A. Caddell, Judge W.R. Jackson, O.L. Judy, C.D. Patterson, E.D. Whitman, W.V. Davidson and H.C. McCord.
The body was tenderly laid to rest in the family lot, Brown directing. The profusion of flowers attested the esteem in which the deceased was held.
