Julia Sidsel Marie Hansen was born July 24, 1854, in Ephraim, Utah.*
*
Her parents, Christian
and Marie Hansen, were among the first settlers of Ephraim, Utah, having been driven out of
Mt. Pleasant by the Indians. Julia was the first white child born in Ephraim. Her parents
returned to Mt. Pleasant. On or about 1870 she married Paul Dehlin. He died in 1875, leaving
her with two small children, Elvira (Ellie) and August Dehlin. On Dec. 3, 1876 she was married
to Nils Martin Ney---See notes for Nils Martin Ney RIN # 98. Written by Elmer Ney, and read at
the Ney reunion August 8,1954 at Upper Falls Resort, Provo, Utah.

Julia S. Hansen is found in the 1920 census for Mt. Pleasant, Utah. E.D. 110 Sheet 26 A.,
Sanpete Co.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Julia S Ney as head of the house, is found along with her three children, in the 1910 Census in
Mt Pleasant Pct. Township #15. She has three sons living with her. Lester M., age 21, Angus,
Age 17, and Glenis Franklin, Age 12. Julia is 55 yr of age. Living with them is a man named
Christian O Anderson, who is listed as a son in law. I assume that Christian was married to
Dena who is already dead. Julia is the mother of 11 Children and 9 of them living in 1910.
Charles Nils, and Dena are evidently the two who are dead.*

pneumonia. Funeral services will be held from the South Ward Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m.
with Bishop A. L. Peterson in charge.*
